About the club

More than 50 years in the heart of the village.

We are a community club dedicated to providing opportunities to the children of Abbots Langley and the surrounding area — and to keeping Sunday football alive for adults through our Abbots Wanderers side.

We're committed to providing a safe and fun environment in which players can enjoy football and improve their skills — making friends and creating positive memories along the way.

We are an England Football Accredited club, recognised for high-quality coaching and maximum opportunities for participation. Our base is at Manor House, in alliance with Abbots Langley Cricket Club. We're grateful to Abbots Langley Parish Council for maintaining the playing fields we're proud to call home. We run development groups from Under 6, competitive teams from Under 8 to U15, and an adult side playing in the Watford Sunday Football League. Girls and boys are welcome in every age group — mixed football under FA rules runs up to Under 11, alongside our new girls-only Under 6 group.

Our squads

Meet the teams

A look at some of our squads — from Under 6 development groups right through to our adult side.

The pathway

Every age, a bigger game

As players grow, so does the pitch, the team and the challenge — from 3v3 first kicks all the way to full 11-a-side.

3v3

First kicks

Under 7

Our youngest players get to know the ball in small, friendly games. No pressure — just fun.

5v5

Mini matches

Under 8–9

More team-mates means learning to pass, move and support each other through the first wins, losses and draws.

7v7

Stepping up

Under 10–11

More space and more players mean bigger pitches, bigger goals and bigger decisions.

9v9

Growing into it

Under 12–13

The game grows with the player — wider pitch, more responsibility and skills that develop at every level.

11v11

The full game

Under 14+

From Under 14 right through to our adult side — the beautiful game in its purest form.

Formats follow the England Football youth football structure.
